Riparo del castello:
Per "riparo" in archeologia si intende il ricovero/abitazione delle prime comunità nomadi di raccoglitori e cacciatori. Il nostro si trova nei pressi di una curva della "Serpentina Paolo Balsamo”, strada che unisce la parte alta con la parte bassa della città, attraversando il parco urbano.Il sito, per i reperti rinvenuti nei numerosi scavi e ricerche, è stato classificato nel Paleolitico superiore (fra 40.000 e 10.000 anni fa, cioè prima dell'avvento dell'agricoltura). Nei pressi, un tratto di muro reticolare risalente al I secolo D. C.. L'opus reticulatum era formato da pietre a base romboidale e a forma di piramide, con il vertice incassato verso l'interno.

Castle Shelter:
In archeology "shelter" means the shelter/home of the first nomadic communities of gatherers and hunters. Ours is located near a hairpin bend on the "Serpentina Paolo Balsamo”, road that connects the upper part with the lower part of the city, crossing the urban park. The site has been classified in the Upper Paleolithic (between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago, i.e. before the advent of agriculture) for the artifacts found in numerous excavations and searches. Nearby, a stretch of lattice wall dating back to the 1st century AD. The opus reticulatum was formed by stones with a rhomboidal base and in the shape of a pyramid, with the apex recessed towards the inside.
